Updated 4.10.23
Dear friends,
We’re so glad to share our Passover Guide with you, full of resources, information, and events to welcome in this holiday.
Not sure how you want to celebrate or where to find your people? We’d love to take you to coffee (in-person or virtual!) to chat more about the offerings and where you might find your place.
There’s a teaching in Judaism that we should feel as if we experienced the Passover story ourselves–but how are we supposed to do that in this day and age? If you don’t have plans for the second night yet, we’ll be diving into that question with a GatherBay experience.
Either way, we’d still love to talk with you about how to connect personally to Passover! Drop us a line at info@gatherbay.org or fill out the coffee form linked above 🙂
Did we miss your event? Take ~2 minutes and submit it to our online calendar, and we’ll get them posted in the guide.
We’ll be continuously updating this guide as we hear about more events in the East Bay and San Francisco, so check back often.
Last thing — want to stay in the loop with all things Jewish in the Bay Area? We send our newsletter usually once every two weeks and you can subscribe here.
Hope to see you soon! Chag Pesach Sameach, wishing you a meaningful Passover,
The GatherBay team (Lena, R’ Gray, and Caroline)
Note: GatherBay highlights experiences and events that will be for/with young(ish) adults. If you’re looking for seders or events for families or young children, J Weekly has an excellent list of more family-friendly experiences.
Looking for a way to subsidize your seder? OneTable is an organization that provides financial support to folks aged 21-39ish who host Shabbat dinners. This year, they’re also supporting first and second night seders at $10/per person.
Still have questions about OneTable? Email the Bay Area Field Manager, Zoe Stricker: zoestricker@onetable.org.
From Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley: “Are you looking to be hosted or to host others at your seder table? This year, seder matching is being coordinated by Mindy Berkowitz at Netivot Shalom. Please email her at sedermatching@netivotshalom.org and indicate if you want to be a host or a guest, as well as any needs such as: first night or second night seder, or if you’re vegetarian or have children, etc. Let’s make sure everyone has a place at the seder table.”

Are you offering seder matching and we don’t have it listed here? Email us at info@gatherbay.org.
Are you looking for a haggadah or resource around a specific topic or content area? Odds are, it exists and we’d love to help you find us! Email rabbi.gray@gatherbay.org.
